Over night Horse Accommodations
Hyltun Farm’s large upper barn has 24 stalls (11ft x 12ft) in its lower level and there are another six larger stalls at the home place (lower barn). All stalls at the upper barn require stall guards which must be supplied by the user. You will also need to bring hay, feed and shavings for your horse. We usually have hay for sale, but if you wish to buy hay, you should call ahead to check availability and terms. We ask that all stalls be left picked and banked.
Rider Accommodations
The upper barn’s main floor above the horse stalls is used for events, contra dances, suppers, lectures, meetings, and sometimes at the end of a long day, informal sleeping on hammocks, cots, air mattresses, or pitched tents. A refrigerator, microwave oven, outdoor grill, tables and a few chairs are provided. Potable water and bathroom facilities are also available.
